Trademark Registration Details:
The marks “TSU” (Registration No. 4/2020/00004874), and “Tarlac State University” along with the University Seal (Registration No. 4/2020/00004875), are registered trademarks with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
The TSU Seal features the following elements:
- Shape
- The seal is concentric, featuring a smaller inner circle enclosed by a wider outer circle. A triangle is positioned inside the inner circle.
- Colors
- The seal features a golden-yellow background in the outer circle and maroon in the inner circle, representing the official colors of the Province of Tarlac. These colors also symbolize technological education, reflecting TSU's origins as a technological institution.
- Designs Embossed on the Face
- 1906 – The foundation date of the institution (which was later converted from Tarlac College of Technology into TSU via the passage of Republic Act No. 6764).
- The triangle stands for stability and represents the interdependent, co-equal tri-functions of the University: Instruction, Research, and Extension.
- Inside the triangle are: A Sun (similar to the one found on the Philippine flag) which symbolizes the State, and two open human arms reminding us of a person ready to uphold and protect the State.
- Outside the triangle are: A Gear which symbolizes technology and technological development; an Owl which signifies knowledge and education; and five V-shaped exhausts/pipes that stand for the University Resources. All these symbols represent the diverse curricular education, training, and development offered by the institution (Arts and Letters, Architecture and Fine Arts, Science and Technology, Business and Accountancy, Public Administration, Computer Studies, Education, Law, Human Kinetics, Engineering, Nursing, and all other comprehensive services and programs it may offer in the future).
Revision of the University Logo
In accordance with TSU Memorandum Circular No. 06, s. 2026, Tarlac State University officially adopts its revised university logo, reflecting the institution's identity while strengthening its recognition on the global stage.
Approved by the Board of Regents through Resolution No. 69 s. 2026, the revised logo features the 'Philippines' in the bottom sector of the presentation.
The TSU community is encouraged to use the logo for official university documents. The use of the University seal and other marks is bound by the university trademark policy.
