The Society for Information Systems Students (SISS) organization has participated in the Local Youth Assembly 2023. This impactful event took place on August 12, 2023, at Bulwagan ng Tarlac, Central Luzon.

The Local Youth Assembly, a pivotal initiative of the Youth Leadership for Democracy (YouthLed PH), has garnered momentum as the driving force behind youth engagement and leadership for democracy. This event is spearheaded by the Asia Foundation and supported by the US Agency for International Development. Held simultaneously across two provinces in Central Luzon, this year's assembly aligns perfectly with the celebration of International Youth Day, magnifying its significance.

The Society for Information Systems Students (SISS) organization is the sole representative from Tarlac State University's College of Computer Studies. Represented by Danica Quiambao and Rinalyn Abuedo, SISS demonstrated their dedication to nurturing innovative actions and meaningful connections. The SISS delegates joined the company of 40 participants from TSU, including SK aspirants and dynamic youth leaders hailing from diverse educational institutions and organizations within the province of Tarlac.

A noteworthy achievement, the Tarlac Province emerged as a frontrunner by having the highest number of delegates among the three concurrent Local Youth Assemblies on that very day. This indication to participation underscores the province's dedication to fostering a community of empowered youth leaders.

Central to the event's purpose is the drive to empower young leaders who possess the capability to translate their visions into transformative actions. This assembly served as a platform for youth leaders to collaborate, build networks, and forge coalitions aimed at driving meaningful change. The event struck a harmonious balance between impactful learning experiences and enjoyable interactions, allowing participants to glean insights about themselves and their communities.
