Dr. Alvincent E. Danganan, the Dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) at Tarlac State University (TSU), has declared that the college will conduct an ICT Proficiency Diagnostic Exam for graduating students this February 2024.
In a Microsoft Teams post, Dr. Danganan reiterated the importance of the upcoming exam, specifically addressing students currently deployed as interns in various companies and departments. He urged them to actively participate in the diagnostic exam scheduled for this February.
The Department of Information Communication Technology will be administering the ICT proficiency diagnostic exam. The exam aims to assess students’ skills and knowledge in the field of technology that will help them maximize their potential during their on-the-job training.
Dr. Danganan clarifies, "It's important to note that the diagnostic exam holds no bearing on your graduation requirements. Whether you pass or fail the exam, it will not impact your eligibility to graduate. Instead, it serves as an opportunity for you and the college to assess your current skill level before you graduate."
Successfully passing the certification exam not only showcases proficiency but also grants civil service eligibility, a steppingstone for them succeeding in better work opportunities.
Dr. Alvincent emphasized the significance of preparation for the upcoming exam, encouraging eligible students to utilize it as an opportunity for self-assessment before graduation and to equip themselves for the demands of the industry.
